All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

why is it that Doss's stock is dropping? what did you think of him.
what cover safeties did you see at the combine that really stick out to you? i assume we need a true cover safety and not a run stuffer like the kid from USC right?

hmmm, Doss is dropping because most are concerned about two things... one, his height (5'10") is a little small for either FS or SS... Two, he's not a very good cover guy, and NFL teams simply wouldn't draft a SS with coverage problems this early.
Furthermore Doss is dropping because so many other players (at other positions) are rising, and he didn't give anyone anything to talk about.
The no.1 FS in this upcoming draft will probably be R. Mathis... he was the no.2 FS on most boards but moved up mainly because he ran the fastest 40 time of the lot. He is now likely to be drafted anywhere from the late first round to the late second. In my post combine review I mentioned Mathis as the possible FS the Bills will make their first pick, now its looking more likely that he wouldn't be on the board when the Bills pick...
If we get the 23rd pick form atl, we could trade down and pick him up around 28-37 (where he really should go), or keep it and get Doss (he should still be on the board), moving him to FS… a position I think he might be able to play with a little seasoning.
My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.
Mike Doss didn't do any workouts at the combine (just a physical& interview)... neither did any of the other top SS. Mathis was about the only one who did the workouts (understandable too because he is a D-1AA player), and really improved his stock with his numbers.

hey Ingtar, what have you heard about shane walton (DB from Notre Dame) and his draft status? I haven't heard much about him, despite the fact that he was one of the nation's best this year. What is his status?
Originally posted by JefftheBillsfan he's awful in coverage.
he was good in coverage, not anywhere close to awful. He could cover pretty well in college. But at the pro level is isn't gonna be a free safety, he's a hard hitter and a playmaker. Coverage is not his strong point by any means
