Ahanotu agrees to one-year deal with Bills

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Veteran defensive end Chidi Ahanotu agreed to a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills on Monday.
Ahanotu, a nine year veteran who played for the NFC champion St. Louis Rams last season, will immediately bolster an inexperienced Bills defensive front.

Ahanotu, who spent the weekend pricing homes in the Buffalo area, was expected to join the team at its training camp facility in suburban Rochester later in the day.

"He is super excited," said Ahanotu's agent, Scott Langley. "The Bills are a storied franchise and he wants to help them."

Ahanotu spent his first eight NFL seasons in Tampa Bay and recorded a career high 10 sacks in 1997.

Ahanotu's signing comes three days after the Bills added veteran defensive tackle Shawn Price.
