He's been a great pickup! He just needed time to gel with the team and fit in. Now he's making the guys around him better and he's doing great at getting physical and getting to the puck.
I love this trade and would love to get him extended if we are going to lose either Drury or Briere.
I wouldnt mind keeping Zubrus for about 2.0-2.5 Mil

I loved that play yesterday when the defender was at the blue line with the puck on the power play- Zubrus couldn't get the puck from him so he just shoved the guy out of the zone- puck and all. It's a small example but those are the kinds of plays he makes.
His size, face-off ability and Special Teams ability will bump up to that range.
That's one of the plays I was thinking about when I started this thread!

Zubrus and Afinogenov skate together in the offseason. I think they are looking forward to playing together.
yeah, being with Ovechkin kinda shadowed him, and ironically, in Washington they didn't play him towards his style of play, which is up close along the boards physical puck possession... so...
