What's the hold up?
Still no word on Adams?

He wants too much money. We can't be like the Redskins and Falcons and bid agaisnt ourselves with a player.
I'd like to have him for a 2 year deal, at an average of 2 million a year. He isn't worth anymore then that. He's getting up there in age, and has injury concerns.

He's worth more than that. He's probably asking for $5mm per while TD is offering around $4mm. He's 29, was in the Pro Bowl in 2000 and 2001, but went to camp late in 2002 and never got into shape (I would guess). I'm guessing he'll sign a 4 year cap friendly contract with us with a $5 mm signing bonus and total value at around $16-18 mm.

I think it is a good thing that the Adams situation is not resolved. It shows that TD is not giving in to Adams or his agent on overspending for his services. Since no one else has stepped forward to sign him it only lowers his value which eventually make them realize the Bills offer is the best one on the table.

no way sam adams plays for 2 million a year and that is underpaying like a champ... any team in the nfl would take him at that rate.
i predict if he signs.. it will be for a MINIMUM of 3.5 mill a year."All hockey players are bilingual. They know English and profanity." ~ Gordie Howe
