2 UIF players get shot at NFL

Two Rock River Raptors players, receiver Lawrence Bady and defensive end Ricky Miller, have been invited to a tryout with the NFL's Buffalo Bills.

Bady, who played at Boise State is one of the top receivers in UIF. He leads the league in receiving yards with 77 catches and 886 yards. He has added nine touchdown passes.

Miller has played in one game with the Raptors, but he was able to make a big impact, recording two sacks for a loss of 15 yards May 25 in an overtime loss against the Bloomington Extreme.

Miller played in college at Fresno State and Arkansas-Monticello.

Sometimes I wish the real world worked like sports.

"Hey OpIv- we know you're just an analyst, but we're gonna give you a shot at being CEO for a few weeks and see how that works out. Why be harsh on these guys? Yeah they are a long shot but WTF, wouldn't you want to have the opportunuty to impress someone higher up?

I'm guessing Arena and Arena 2 have some sort of corporate relationship and the United Indoor Football is a completely separate outfit, a competitor.

I guess we need to continue the trend of using the exceptions as the rule. Funny how you mention Warner and ignore the scores of NFLE QB's who never did **** in the NFL.

This is a tryout. NOt different from an undrafted rookie FA. BUt hey, if we didn't at least try we'd miss out on Peters and you'd be *****ing about not having an LT.

The bills are not leaving any stones unturned. They are looking everywhere to get better instead of sittng on their butt and doing nothing. No matter what the bills do, you have a problem. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't. We all know the problem is in your head. You have to find something to complain about. Complaining for the sake of complaining and then you ask why we have that peception of you.

here's an idea- draft well and sign quality FA's so you don't have to take desperation chances on guys from football's equivalent of Single-A baseball.
