So Who's The Class Of The NFC ?

Is this finally the year of the Saints ? Can the Bears get home field again ? Will Seattle rebound ? Can the Rams get enough D to support their explosive offense ?

Who else looks good in the NFC ?

One last question. Overall, is the NFC still much weaker than the AFC ?

I'd put the Saints as my favorites as of the moment. Chicago and Seattle close behind. And I guess Philly and maybe Dallas, but I'm still not sure about them, along with possibly St. Louis after that.

As far as NFC surprises, I think Detroit will be better than most expect, and I also think Atlanta might fair better than most would expect with Vick gone.

Overall, the AFC is by far the better conference still.

I expect Chicago to still be good this year. If Grossman actually progresses some and Hester can be implemented in the offense they could be outright scary.

    New Orleans is obvious.

A team that could surprise in the NFC is the 49ers. They're playing in a division where no team is clearly better than the rest. Arizona is also another, Edge had a down year, Young QB, tons of offensive weapons. If their defense comes around they could cause problems for some teams.

Overall though, just because the Pats and Colts are so strong, it makes the AFC the stronger conference. The NFC has like 2 clear cut playoff teams, but neither is better than the Pats or Colts.

I find it incredible that Grossman still starts in Chicago. Even the most patient Bears fans must be going crazy. His predictable breakdowns in poise and multiple turnovers seem to be the only thing holding them back.

Play Griese and draft a QB already.
