Patriots LoMo inactive for the Cincy Monday Night tilt

The Pats Laurence Maroney has been inactivated for the Monday Night game against Cincy. He was a gametime decision.

The Pats have activated their secret weapon, RB/FB Kyle Eckel, off the practice squad.

HC Bill Belichick has an unhealthy man-love for Eckel, who had an impressive camp for them a couple years ago but was stolen away by the Dolphins when the Pats tried to sneak him onto the PS after the final cuts. Eckel went to Navy, where Belichick's father coached. The Pats signed Eckel to their PS after he was cut by the Dolphins this year. They paid him double what they had to ($150K) to get him to sign.

Don't be surprised if Eckel gets into the game tonight. He is a HB/FB-tweener who catches the ball well.

Yeah, he seems to get banged up a lot. This doesn't appear to be serious (groin), but it is concerning that he seems to always have something.
