With quarterbacks falling by the wayside and backups taking over all across the NFL, the team with the least reason to worry is Minnesota.
For one thing, running back Adrian Peterson is the key to that offense. Defenses want to load up the line of scrimmage with defenders to stop Peterson and make the quarterback beat them with his mind -- and arm.
Starting quarterback Tarvaris Jackson hasn't been consistent enough to strike fear in any defense for anything other than his ability to make plays with his legs. And he wouldn't strike fear in the Eagles' defense -- even one that has been struggling -- if he were to play this Sunday. But that is unlikely because he has a broken finger, meaning veteran Kelly Holcomb likely will get the nod.
Holcomb actually gives the Vikings a better chance to win.............
