NOTES, QUOTES - Buffalo at Miami

—The most significant meeting of this rivalry had to be Buffalo's 29-10 victory in the AFC Championship Game of 1992. Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino threw two costly interceptions, fumbled and was sacked four times. The Dolphins gained just 33 yards on the ground versus Buffalo's 182.

—The Dolphins have rushed for more than 100 yards in 12 of the last 14 games of this series.

—The team that has had an edge in time of possession has won 12 of the last 15 games in this series.

—There has been an interception returned for a touchdown in four of the last eight games of this series, and six of the last 10, including four by the Bills.

—Bills DE Ryan Denney is the older brother of Dolphins long-snapper John. Ryan, who missed the first seven games with a knee injury, played for the first time last week against the Bengals. Denney had a career-high three sacks against the Dolphins on Sept. 17, 2006, all coming in the first half.

—"It's not pretty, but we're grown men. We've got to keep playing. This is our profession. This is what we do. ... At 0-8, you can't afford to put your head in the can." — WR Derek Hagan, on the Dolphins' 0-8 start.
