    Murphy, Thomas placed on IR

The injuries continue to mount for the Buffalo Bills, as cornerback Kiwaukee Thomas and tight end Matt Murphy were placed on injured reserve Wednesday, meaning they will miss the rest of the season.

The Bills now have 12 players on injured reserve.

Thomas, the nickel cornerback, hurt his groin in Sunday’s 13-10 win at Miami. Murphy, who doubled as an offensive lineman and fullback, tore his left calf during practice last week.

Thomas, an eight-year veteran, had 35 tackles in nine games, including three starts, this season. Murphy appeared in two games this season. He became the third Bills tight end to go on IR, following Kevin Everett (spinal cord), who was hurt in the season opener, and Derek Schouman (ankle).

Barring any additions, the Bills will be down to four cornerbacks against the Patriots. Second-year man Ashton Youboty is expected to return to the lineup after missing five games with an ankle injury. Youboty might fill Thomas’ role as the third corner, but it’s possible the Bills could move either cornerback Terrence McGee or safety Donte Whitner inside on certain plays. The third cornerback is typically responsible for covering the slot receiver, a role filled in New England by Wes Welker, who has 61 catches for 651 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

    12? WTF?
I didn't come here to fight, I hate fighting. Life is way too short to spend it on fighting! Go fight with yourself, one of you will eventually win!
