Bruski clearly had his arm holding TE Gates from going back inside on 2nd down in redzone. Zebras are doing their usual bang up job.
Yeah, I saw that too. Quite obvious IMO
It was within 5 yards, where you're allowed to touch the receiver, not too mention Gates was also touching him. Bruschi released him around the 5. LOS was the 9 on the play.Originally Posted by G. Host
Nothing illegal about the play, nor did Bruschi's "jamming" disrupt Gates ability to catch the ball. Bruschi diving and hitting the ball certainly did though.
BTW this game is over...if you get in the redzone vs the Pats and are forced to kick FGs, you're screwed. You need TDs when you can get them.
Touching and jamming ok, but he held onto him when Gates tried to break. Is that legal?
It's not like Gates wasn't jockeying with Bruschi either and it all happened within 5 yards. Hence why no flag on the play. Happens all the time in the NFL. Hell Hines Ward did against Jacksonville in the playoffs and got them called for Defensive Pass Interference.Originally Posted by LtFinFan66
But more times than not, jockeying within the first 5 yards of scrimmage is never called no matter what type of contact is made.
come on bolts! get a TD here
You can't keep going into the red zone and taking FGs against the Patriots, they will take over soon.
Ted needs to teach his defense players to kneel down on interceptions in end zone.
