All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Now that we've got our owners in place, let's have everyone come up w/ a team bio. Those of you who are returning owners can feel free to use your old information, update it, or get a brand new identity for your team. It's up to you.
Returning owners have dibs on all of the information they had previously in terms of home city, venue you play in, and management/coaching staff. Everything but the players, fellas.
Here's info for my team. Mostly the same, but w/ a few changes:
Erie Assassins Team Profile
Owner/President: R. Rich
Executive VP/GM: Kevin Colbert
Director of Player Personnel: Phil Savage
Head Coach: Kirk Ferentz
Headquarters: 7 Assassins Plaza
Stadium: RICH Stadium
Fanbase: The same crazy, drunken, cold weather idiots you'd see at places like Lambeau
We settled on hiring Colbert and Savage to run the team because of their excellent track records in Pittsburgh (Colbert) and Baltimore (Savage). Both are also known for very thorough research of players from all over, whether they're from Division 1A, D2, D3, or even NAIA, semi pro, minor league (NFLE, Arena), or converted players from other sports.
We were very pleased to get Ferentz, especially after our first choice, legendary Penn State coach Joe Paterno, declined our very generous contract offer so that he could stay at the college level. Ferentz' teams at the University of Iowa have been known to run the ball well and play very good defense, which is the kind of team the Assassins want to develop. Ferentz also pays attention to special teams, which we intend to emphasize
The complete coaching staff for the Erie Assassins:
Head Coach: Kirk Ferentz
Coordinators: Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator: Ken O’Keefe (former Off. Coord.; University of Iowa)
Defensive Coordinator: Rex Ryan (former Defensive Coord.; Baltimore Ravens)
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Special Teams Coordinator: Frank Gansz Jr. (former ST Coord.; Kansas City Chiefs)
Position Coaches:
OFFENSE Quarterbacks Coach: Clyde Christensen (former QB coach; Indianapolis Colts) Running Backs Coach: Carl Jackson (former RB coach; University of Iowa) Receivers Coach: Lester Erb (former WR/special teams coach; University of Iowa) Tight Ends/Quality Control: Eric Johnson (former TE coach/Recruiting Coord.; University of Iowa)Offensive Line: Randall McDaniel(former 12 time All Pro guard and Hall of Fame candidate)

DEFENSE Defensive Line: Tommy Brasher (former DL coach; Philadelphia Eagles) Linebackers: Clay Matthews (former All Pro linebacker) Defensive Backs: Alvin Reynolds (former DB coach; Jacksonville Jaguars) Strength and Conditioning Coach: Chet Fuhrman (former Strength/Conditioning Coach; Pittsburgh Steelers)
Team Philosophy: "Old School" team that likes to run the ball, balanced w/ a good play action passing game. Defensively, we want to dominate: rush the passer well, play good pass defense, and stuff the run.
"The green 'n black attack is back........even though before, it didn't do jack."
Owner/President/CEO: Michael J. Thomas Executive VP/General Manager: Tom Modrak Head Coach: Marty Schottenheimer Asst. Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator: Mike Singletary Asst. Head Coach/Special Teams Coordinator: Bobby April Offensive Coordinator: Cam Cameron QB Coach: Alex Van Pelt RB Coach: Edgar Bennett WR Coach: Don Beebe TE Coach: Rob Chudzinski OL Coach: Joe DeLamielleure DL Coach: Rod Marinelli LB Coach: Greg Manusky DB Coach: Kurt Schottenheimer Strength and Conditioning Coordinator: Rusty Jones
If I want Singletary as a head coach can I outbid Mikey?
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
Head Coach: Bill Cowher

How do the coaches work? Once someone names that person as a coach we can't choose them right? What if I choose a coach and a previous owner wants that person?
