All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
Where in Ireland are you and how are you a bills fan?
I'm in Bangor, in Northern Ireland. About 12 miles from Belfast, on the east coast.
I became a Bills fan when the NFL became big in the UK in the mid-80s, mainly because my mum asked her cousin in Toronto to send over some NFL stuff and he sent over a Bills t-shirt and football. Once I had those there was no going back.
Not cold at all. At least not at the moment. About 9C (48F) today. Coldest it ever gets is around -10C (14F), and I've only had that a few times.
The flip side is that it doesn't really get warm in the summer. Usually mid 20's C (70 to 75F) is the limit, though sometimes it gets up to around 31 or 32 (80F)
My boss live in Florida now, he comes back once a month to make sure we aren't all spending his money on ridiculous projects. When he's here at any time between November and March he does nothing but complain about how cold it is.
