VERY below my expectations too. How the hell could they not get a big prospect with him? I understand that they wanted to move Campbell, but they pulled the trigger way too fast.

Contract

Bernier is on a three year entry-level contract worth US$3.55 million, which will expire in June 2008. This deal includes $850,000 in yearly salary as well as a one million dollar signing bonus.

He fills a need and looks like a decent player. But they could have gotten more. There was a lot of teams interested in Campbell.
