Well in the draft, I reckon we need to focus on the left wing, netminder and and size at center with 2 Round 1 and a Round 2

We have enough depth at D with Sekera, Weber, Funk, Card, Persson, Brennan and lets move Gragnani back to the PP defenseman he was being developed as.

There's enough on the Right even if Stafford stays at the Sabres, as we've got Bernier, Pominville, Kotalik and Afingonev here and then Stafford, Kaleta, Mancari, Gogulla etc but we need to get more size at Center as there's only Zagrapan, and although Dennis has done well, realistically only Ehroth is a potential starter in the net.

The cupboard on the left wing is empty (hence moving Gragnani).

      Potential selections include:

      LW

      Mikkel Boedker
      David Toews
      Joe Colbourne

      at Center

      Zac Boychuck
      Tyler Ennis
      Greg Nemisz
      Jordan Eberle
      Joshua Bailey

      Netminders

      Harri Sateri
      Tom McCollum

Lets get 3 of these guys down to the farm wherever that may be.

GUYS BOYLE GOT 6.6 PER. Campbell is better. We can't afford to pay Campbell that much or more per.

No, it's not. It's about the length of the contract.

We could have signed Campbell for 5.5 million per 6 years easily.

I can't see him agreeing to anything less than 6.25 over 5 years. How can the Sabres match that?

It's all about the numbers. Would you rather have a guaranteed 18 million over 3 years or 36 million over 6 years? Yes he could just get another contract after 3 years but there is nothing to say that he won't have injury problems or off years that will hinder his options.

I don't know man. I guess anything is possible but I just don't think he would be worth that much. He is a Great puckhandling D man. He is average at best defensively and isnt a big time goal scorer. Just look at the **** Vanek gets for his contract. It would have been the same for Campbell. I really liked Campbell and wish him the best of luck.

Not giving up but those from his class including Martin Hanzal, Luc Bourdon, Anze Kopitar, Andrew Cogliano, and Matt Niskenen have had an impact in the AHL and have stepped up to the big boys. Hell, even David Perron taken last year has. It would nice to have him step up from the title 'prospect' and actually start to contribute.

I would rather he be more of a Drew Stafford who is now getting called up. Based on reports of his play, its still 2-3 years before that happens.

Let me see if I read this right? Campbell wanted to sign say A 5 year deal at $5.5 million vs a 3 year deal at $5.5million, why? So there was $11 million more on the table. His quote say it all!

"I can't sign a three-year deal like that," said Campbell, who pointed out that Florida's Richard Zednik could have died in the arena this month and it forced Campbell to think of how short a players' career could be. "You see what happens. You have to look out for No. 1."

I think you are reading it wrong!!!
