Forked Thread: Ralph and Cash To The Cap

Forked from: Ralph and Cash To The Cap

I was watching NFLN last night and they had some ex-GM's on and they were talking about how Cash to Cap is the future of the NFL and a lot of teams are switching to it due to the fact that signing bonus's have failed in the past and teams no longer want to mortgage the future to win today (excluding teams like Washington).

I find it amazing that we are constantly finding out that Ralph may actually be smarter than the average owner, as his tactics... after some time... seem to become the norm.

He may be old and cheap... but he's as smart as any GM in the league when it comes to foresight.

You mean, Ralph isn't cheap and senile? He *****es about the CBA agreement, but everyone else signs it like sheeps and doesn't bother reading it? Now it has come out that a lot of owners hate the agreement and will not renew it? Now it turns out cheap Ralph decides to do the cash to the cap thing last year, and begins a whole new wave? Everyone else thinks it is a good idea in this extremely high salary cap era?

    Say it aint so.

His legacy in Buffalo will not be determined by cash to cap but what happens to the Bills after he passes.
