All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

If/when a link shows up, I will remove the word rumor. There has been too many of these.
I will leave it here, since Pat is not the type to make **** up.
I was guilty of floating a few myself. I think the standard should be that we add rumor to the title until we have a link. However, even then we have to consider the source too as far as the link goes.
I would not say Hackett blows balls, but his injury past makes it a risk.
Would I like him here? Sure. But it is not a crisis if he is not brought in.
What would bother me more is if they do not sign a CB, because then there is a problem at #11 as to what position to take. They need to sign James now so CB is not as much of glaring need.
Both Hackett and James would be good to sign and shouldn't blow the bank. That would give us options and free us up with our picks!!!
GR8, Hackett does not blow! He's actually pretty good if he can stay healthy. But even if he only lasts half a season with us, that's half a season that a rookie can use to get acclimated and develop before he is thrown in...Like Pat, I don't understand why the FO is not even bringing him in to check him out. I do hear that there is concern about his work ethic - so maybe that's why.
Stroud is a multi-time Pro Bowler. Hackett is not.
Hackett's numbers in 07 were Pro Bowl pace, in his third year playing. He has way more upside than Stroud. And they should draft a WR early in any case.
Hackett's as appealing as any veteran WR left, and they can make it a low-risk contract.
