All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Hackett's numbers in 07 were Pro Bowl pace, in his third year playing. He has way more upside than Stroud. And they should draft a WR early in any case.
Hackett's as appealing as any veteran WR left, and they can make it a low-risk contract.
Way more upside than a multi-time pro bowl DT? We will have to disagree on that one. I would think he would have more interest in him if he was that great.
And I agree he is appealing as any veteran WR left. But that does not make him the answer. I will not be upset if they sign him, but also realize he is not a world beater.
JOHNSON TO 49ERS REPORT MAKES SENSE: Hearing these reports about Bryant Johnson taking a one-year deal with the 49ers makes sense because I've learned that as of Thursday a one-year deal was all they were interested in. As I suspected yesterday, after seeing Justin McCareins and Drew Carter take one-year deals (Tennessee and Oakland) that Johnson in a lukewarm market would do the same. I'll have more on what went down with Johnson once I can confirm the 49ers report myself. ---
we may as well forget this team signing any good to great players, and we will only continue to sign back up players. Even are starting QB Edwards is only a back up hack,

I think people may be confusing Hackett with Engram.

I dont know why you are refusing to look at his numbers,,,, for the amount of games he played and stayed in his numbers are extremely good... better than any other WR that was on the market this year.

He had good games against horrible defenses.
The 49ers thought so highly of him that they didn't even put Clements on him.
The Skins had their 4th string WR covering him the whole game.
The only time he had to play a real team, the Packers, he didn't do crap.
You should really go back and watch some of his games, he's not that impressive. I've got everyone he played this year on DVD if you'd like me to mail them to you.
Saying that he's better than any WR on the market isn't saying much this year. I'd much rather take my chances on a draft pick if I have to choose between that and him. IF he's willing to be paid what he's worth (just about league minimum) then hell yeah bring him in. But there's no need to overpay for a mediocre player.

Are you actually a bills fan?
If so, give specifics on whom we should have signed/drafted etc... what should we have done?
