- January 7 - Re-signed wide receivers Kerry Reed and Chandler Williams, guard Marquay Love and linebacker Marcello Church.[40] All finished the 2007 season on the Dolphins' practice squad.[40]
- March 3 - Re-signed safety Yeremiah Bell to a one-year, $1.4 million contract.[41]
- March 5 - Re-signed cornerback Michael Lehan to a three-year, $4.95 million contract.[42][43]
- January 30 - Signed quarterback Matt Baker, offensive lineman Trey Darilek and linebacker Junior Glymph.[44] Baker was with the Dallas Cowboys in 2006,[45] while Darilek and Glymph were both in training camp with Dallas in 2007.[44]
- February 8 - Signed cornerback Joey Thomas.[46] He was originally drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft and had most recently spent training camp with the Cowboys in 2007.[46]
