I believe Mr. nator was referring to the hiatus NBF took a while back, maybe a year or two back. He was gone for an extended period of time. Playa's absence was much more recent.
Just goes to show that maybe curtailing to the few posters that play games everyday aren't the only ones who care about the Zone. Many lurkers are here everyday pouring over every thread and are free to vote just like any other poster. Its obvious that they see something they like and our letting their voice be heard. They are free to read every thread and a lot do, I know the guys I have talked to who have voted for him, know a lot about what he stands for and he's talked to a lot of his voters. Some of them vote for him because of his stances, some for the way he's conducted his campaign, some because they like the staff he's assembled, and some have their own special reasons. Either way what he is doing is working is it not? However congrats to your own campaign, it appears you guys will be around for the next debate and primary. So congratulations to you guys!

Thurm you know that sometimes people need a break when their personal life gets too hectic. While I dont think its right to start using people's personal lives against them, EE made no bones about his reasoning to leave. If he needed a break because he needed to sort out things in his personal life, then I completely understand I think a lot of the voters would to. However he left under the guise of being a disgruntled poster due to a move the staff decided on which was something he wanted to see happen. I dont like the way he dealt with the situation, I dont like the way he trashed the site, and I dont like the way he treated the staff.
