that's only because Bedard suggested giving zonebucks for actions that already result in ZB's. People with high post count are already rewarded with ZB's from their post and usually with reputation power as well.
Seems to me that Bedard is in favor of a Zone income gap- while that's a great way to empower people who contribute, it's also intimidating to potential new posters.
Fair enough. However I do give out ZB's to the winners of contests and stuff all the time.

I don't know- Bedard reached out to me (nice "all politics is local" touch- read "Hardball" by Chris Matthews) and I was leaning towards him for a while, but his statements and what his supporters are doing is a definite put-off.
Now, that's fair because it's something different, and in your contests, existing zoners and noobs have the same opportunity to win. But not all big contributors are as altruistic with their ZB's/rep so I don't really see how handing out additional quantities of the same reward will help the board.
I sent out at least 30 personal messages. Trying to be creative and pro me got tough after a while. But you know my deal Op. Its cool either way.
that Hardball thing was intended as a compliment- he tells a story about Tip O'Neil's first election where his next door neighbor that he had known for years didn't vote for him because he never directly asked her to. Reaching out to people instead of counting on their support is a good retail approach to politics.
And on second thought, it isn't fair to you to hold BMN's actions against you- every politician has crazy, overzealous supporters through no fault of their own.
But, I need to think long and hard about your platform and compare it to the other ones before making a final decision... at the moment though, I applaud your efforts but I'm not convinced.

He's a loose cannon with some of his comments- a sign of good leadership is an ability to control his underlings.... if you don't get him under control, well, I think the implication is clear.
BMN is a passionate guy, no doubt. Whether people like him as a poster or not he cares about the future of the Zone. Thats why he is on my staff.

How did this help the zone?
I have tons of ZBs, anyone can get them via betting with Fat Tony. But what do ZBs really even do? Not much.
You can get the avatar fairy to change your avatar freely.
You can ask others for ZBs to get team logo's.
Etc, etc, etc...
So I ask, how does this help or improve the Zone?
Perhaps we need new Zone Store options.

But I do have a question of my own, which doesn't really relate to this race at all for the most part.
Why are people always so quick to shoot down the suggestions of others, yet provide none of their own?
