A nice guideline for next year's voters.

I can't believe some of these people who signed up. How the hell can someone lurk for 2 years and only post a few times? They prolly spend all of their time in the main forum reading Bills stuff, then they start reading stuff in the election forum, then just choose somebody. Do they know that we all bust balls outside of the main forum?
I think I'll start another poll for these lurkers.
I didn't come here to fight, I hate fighting. Life is way too short to spend it on fighting! Go fight with yourself, one of you will eventually win!

I lurked a long time before actively participating... At first this community seems like there's so many people with ideas that anything I could think of would have already been discussed... Came to realize later that it was the opposite, that while there were lots of topics, there is always room for new points of view and opinions.

Just because someone doesn't post much - doesn't mean that they don't have a feel for the site.

Their votes are welcome and no attempts to diminish whatever opinions they have should ever come into play.

    1) Next years vote? Playa is not President for 4 years?

    2) Not many lurkers voted. Most of the people who did vote post often.

Sounds more like someone upset their candidate lost...

There should be an electoral college system. Maybe by rep points or something. While I congratulate playa, just look at all the heavy hitters who voted for MBB and the nobodies who voted for playa.

The nobodies want a leader, the heavy hitters are just followers.

I notice there are alot of people who like to insult other posters on the heavy hitters list. That's not my following.

Excellent post, Darth! Don't forget that you almost left the Zone too, until we convinced you to come to the home opener party and once you met us all, you got hooked for life!

Re: A nice guideline for next year's voters.

I think it should be a requirement of all the candidates next year that they at least post in the main forum on a regular basis.

I also think that any running mates, staff members, etc should not be actual members of the site's staff.

I get what you are saying I dont agree.

Firstly regular basis is probably open to interpretation, secondly I know a handful of zoners who read that forum everyday but hardly ever post. And they are active members at other areas of the site.

I dont know that having a staff member on your team makes much difference as every team had one. Maybe not presidents/vp's, but certainly zone staffers should be allowed to participate as team staffers.

Actually, I was thinking the opposite. I think Playa would've had even more votes if those people knew the ball buster side of him. His campaign was very serious, and that's not him outside of the main forum. He's one of the biggest ball busters in the tz.

What constitutes a "heavy hitter" and a "nobody"?

I was going to say the same thing. No BillsZone staff working on any campaign.

A nobody would be someone who never posts anymore and a heavy hitter would be one of the admins that helped created this site.

I agree. I like the way you think. If I had a running mate like you, instead of the ballast I had, we would have won.
