I'll tell you it feels nice to have one of my teams actually win something for the first time in awhile, and I'm even more glad they beat Pittsburgh to do it.

It's not even a contest. The Sabres are my favorite team, always have been, always will be. But I started following Detroit as well when I was younger because of a few players that I really liked to watch (Fedorov, Yzerman, Ciccarelli, Lidstrom) and I've always paid attention to them and cheered for them other than when it effects Buffalo.Originally Posted by THATHURMANATOR

So as I said, I'm happy, I like the team and they won the cup, but it can't even begin to compare to how I'd feel if the Sabres were to win.

You know if you switch to a dish (Dish or Direct), you won't get CBC unless you get an antenna too.

The Sabres had just as good of a chance to get the first pick like Pittsburgh, each team had 3 balls in the lottery. I was shocked however that the team got stuck with the 13th pick.
the "lottery" was done with few onlookers in a closed room...it's the 21st century and there is no video, no TV cams, no announcers...not exactly like the 1970 spin of the wheel.....and lo, and behold, the team that owe's Mario Lemieux tens of millions of dollars ends up with Syd. Way to keep the league considered bush.
