All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

As far as tie breakers... I think last year in the 2nd, actually probably the 3rd round, whoever was running it changed up the scoring. They did points for getting the winner right and then points for getting the # of games right, except you also lost a point for every game you were off by.
Say if you picked San Jose in 7 and the won in 5, you'd lose 2 points for those games or what not. It should break people up a little more, but I'd wait till the 3rd round otherwise people could end up in the negative or something crazy.
Tie Breaker: Following the completion of the conference finals, if there are two or more participants still in the running for the top spot a tie-breaker will be in effect. When the participants submit their Stanley Cup champions picks they will also have to submit two totals. The first is the total number of goals scored in the series by the cup winning team. The second is the total number of goals scored in the series by the cup losing team. Once the Stanley Cup has been decided, if two or more participants are tied in the standings it will come down to the tie-breaker. First will be the total for the Cup winning team. For example, if two Zoners are tied in the standings and one submitted 15 goals for the winning team and the other submitted 13 and the actual total was 16, the person who guessed 15 would win the tie-breaker and win the final prize. If the real total was 16 and one guessed 15 and the other 17, they would both be one goal off and it would move on to the second tie-breaker. If the Zoners are still tied after the second tie-breaker it will be called a draw and both will win the final prize.
