GO BILLS!!! NE
Magical Trevor
WGRZ's Adam Benigini reported tonight that Jehuu Caulcrick has signed with the he was offered a contract by the Bills, 49ers, Ravens but he chose the and on WKBW Sports Final Jeff Ruso said the same thing.
A Pennsylvania newspaper is reporting that the Bills have signed Joe Brockington, LB, from Notre Dame as a UDFA:
"Another midstate product, Notre Dame linebacker and Palmyra graduate Joe Brockington, agreed to a free-agent contract with the Buffalo Bills. "

Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.
Damn, he would have been a solid pickup.Originally Posted by LOSman WINS

Bills told him he'd be the only rookie FB they would sign. 5'9'' 240 blocking FB.

I think one of the reasons that he may have chosen the Jets over the Bills could be that the Jets offered to give him a chance to make their roster as a RB: he made a comment that was quoted in a newspaper piece about him before the draft about wanting to continue being a RB and not really wanting to switch to FB in the NFL.
The Bills had already indicated that they would only be interested in bringing Caulcrick in to play FB.
Personally, I don't think Caulcrick can make it in the NFL as a RB, but, if he wants to give it a shot and has to go to the Jets to get that opportunity, good luck to him. I think both he and the Bills are better off having him go elsewhere if he doesn't want to play FB for them.

Don't Army people have a military commitment?

Apparently there is a new rule that they can serve that commitment as a recruiter if they play in the NFL.Originally Posted by dannyek71

Bills | Team signs J. Jones
Mon, 28 Apr 2008 08:19:05 -0700
Josh Buchanan, of NFLDraftBible.com, reports the Buffalo Bills signed undrafted rookie free-agent WR Jason Jones (Arkansas-Pine Bluff). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Look at what the kid ran:
Arkansas-Pine Bluff wide receiver Jason Jones may be the first Golden Lion to be drafted by the National Football League in five years later this month. The 6-foot-1 Jones is currently being scouted by several NFL teams as the NFL Draft looms on April 26-27. The Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, St. Louis Rams, Green Bay Packers, and Oakland Raiders have shown interest in the former UAPB receiver. Jones led UAPB with 47 receptions for 793 yards and three touchdowns in 2007. His best season at UAPB was in 2006, when he had 38 receptions for 933 yards and 13 touchdowns, helping the Golden Lions win the Southwestern Athletic Conference Western Division championship. The 24-year old Jones is a 2003 graduate of Forrest City High School. During his workout with the Browns, Jones ran a 4.32 40-yard dash time. In the same workout, he ran a 4.35 40-yard dash. Jones plans on visiting Green Bay and St. Louis in the next week or so prior to the draft. Jones has been projected as a fourth-fifth round pick by several scouts. The defending Super Bowl champion Giants called UAPB head coach Monte Coleman and told him that they were “very, very impressed” with Jones’ workout. - Pine Bluff Commercial

Analysis
Positives: Has a very slender frame that presents problems vs. physical defensive backs in beating the press, but if he gets a clean release off the snap, he has the timed speed and second gear to quickly get behind his opponent on deep routes...Needs to use his hands better to create separation, but is a glider-type of route runner with very smooth upfield movements...Likes to use his body to make the short-area catch, but shows good arm extension and tracking ability to extend and pluck the ball outside his frame...Despite his lanky frame, he shows good courage, timing and leaping ability competing for jump balls in a crowd...Improved his burst off the line of scrimmage as a senior, doing an adequate job of getting the cornerbacks off balance and on their heels...Also improved his ability to sink his hips when making cuts in the intermediate and short areas...Makes good body adjustments tracking deep and sideline throws, demonstrating good balance and body control attempting to get to passes thrown over his shoulder...Shows adequate stop-and-go action and has the burst needed to gain advantage on defensive backs on deep routes...Despite his slight frame, he can defeat the press and fluidly gets into his routes with his hip shake and head fakes to fool the opponent...Has developed a good feel for finding the soft spot in the zone...Comes back quickly for the underneath pass, and despite his slight frame he will fight to get to the off target tosses...Has soft hands to haul in the pass and improving hand/eye coordination going up for the ball...Smooth route runner who can sink his hips and plant sharply coming out of his breaks...Will lay out over the middle and adjust to the poorly thrown pass...Can catch outside his framework and shows good explosion after the reception...Shifty enough to escape second-level defenders working underneath (still working on using his hands better to separate in the open) and uses his body flexibility to maintain body control going up for the ball.
Negatives: Limited by his size, as he can escape the press coverage with savvy moves, but his slight frame takes a beating for his efforts...Lacks upfield blocking skills, showing no urgency to help out the ground game...Was not always conscious of the sidelines his first two years, struggling at times to keep his feet in bounds going for the off-target passes, but did improve as a senior...Needs to show more aggression with his hands when defenders start getting into his body...Has natural hands, but likes to body catch (more often when in a crowd, but will extend on deep routes)...Lacks playing strength needed to break tackles...Will combat for the ball, but if he takes a crunching hit, he will appear tentative attacking and going over the middle for several plays (gets his bell rung a lot)...His slight frame may not have much more room for development...Will try to steer and control as a blocker, but lacks any leg drive or power to sustain blocks.
Compares To: MARVIN MINNIS-ex-Kansas City...Like Minnis, Jones has very good foot speed but is still learning the aspect of route technique. He will use his body as a crutch to catch the ball in a crowd and his slight frame does take a lot of punishment. Minnis is no longer in the league, as his rail-thin frame could not beat press coverage, and Jones has experienced the same troubles. His body might not be able to handle much more weight without it affecting his best asset -- his speed.
Injury Report
Injury report is unavailable, but he did not play vs. Tuskegee (9/24) in 2005 for an undisclosed reason and missed the Alabama State (9/16) after he dropped an on-line class and was academically ineligible for that contest.

Viti epitomizes those traits.
Despite playing with chronically aching knees and a host of other injuries throughout the year, Army’s lead fullback has started all 11 games this season.
The Berwick, Pa. (Berwick H.S.), native underwent arthroscopic knee surgery 10 days prior to the Black Knights’ season opener against Arkansas State, but remained a key element of the Black Knights’ offense across his junior campaign. He lists third on the club in rushing (182) and fourth in pass receiving (11 catches). He is averaging a team-leading 4.6 yards per carry, a figure that leads all Black Knight players boasting at least 10 attempts. is also averaging 6.1 yards per catch and stands sixth on team with 67 receiving yards.
