Steelers' Foote enters plea agreement in restaurant brawl

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (April 23, 2003 12:47 p.m. EDT) - Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Larry Foote has reached a plea agreement on a disorderly person charge following a brawl at a restaurant.

The misdemeanor charge against Foote will be dismissed if he stays out of trouble for the next three months, his attorney, Jim Acho, said Wednesday.

Foote was charged after a fight at a restaurant near the Michigan campus in February.

"It's going to be dismissed August 4 if he is not arrested for a violent act in Ann Arbor over the next 90 days," Acho said. "It will be dismissed as if it never happened, because it will not be on his record."
