EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP)—Super Bowl star Plaxico Burress was suspended for one game by the New York Giants on Wednesday for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
Since the unbeaten Giants have a bye this weekend, Burress will miss the Oct. 5 game against Seattle. The suspension takes effect immediately, meaning Burress will not be allowed to return to team activities until the day after the Seahawks game.

He could've at least contact the Giants. Whether I had a family emergency or not, if I don't contact my boss to let them know I won't be in to work, I would be punished as well.

Thanks. I don't think it's related. Those incidents occurred on June 2 and Aug. 19, and he was suspended for missing last Monday's film. btw, they spelled 'occurred' wrong.

I read something today that said he has been fined by the Giants about 40-50 times since joining the team.
The NFL is looking further into his Domestic issues as to a possible personal conduct violation. This could result in a suspension.
