ESPN's John Clayton believes the Bills will release DT John McCargo shortly.

According to Clayton, Bills coaches took some public shots at McCargo so it would be uncomfortable to accept the black sheep back into the fold. Perhaps McCargo will end up with the Colts after all, without Indy having to surrender a fourth-round pick

I would think that if Indy signs him after he is released (if he is released), there will major tampering charges filed and the Colts would be in a world of trouble

Exactly. I can't see how the league would let that happen without forcing the Colts to provide compensation to the Bills. If they don't, then every team could just "find something" wrong with a player in a trade and force the other team to eventually release the player. I'd be interested to see how this turns out.
