I've an interesting observation when it comes to Bills and NFL fans.

I noticed when I talk to people who are Bills or NFL fans, they always say My Bills, My Rams, or My Texans. They personalize it, like their part owners or have a stake in the team. LOL! Only the Packers can truly say that, but it funny when people say that. Nothing wrong with it, just an observation.

Let's Go Bills, make it happen!!!

I do all the time. especially when I'm drunk. Me and my buds have a drinking song.

"One shot down says the quarterback
one more down to the halfback
      one for the fans
two for the owner for we
drink em all untill we Ralph."

      *Take a shot*

      "Oh, they're my Bills! OY!"

      "drink em high
      drink em dry
one shot, two shot, three shots guy!
      who are they
      who get us drunk?"

      *take a shot*

      "Ohhhhhhh, theyre my Bills! OYE!"

Been saying it for over 30 years!

but this isn't why..."like their part owners or have a stake in the team"

They are my team. That is all.

If I'm talking to a fan from another team, I'll often use possesive discrept words like "we're" and "you guys".

I say "we" and "our" when referring to the Bills all the time.

I try to avoid it but sometimes I slip up.

I try to avoid saying 'we' since I'm not part of the team, but I think most fans that do say that are just emphasizing 'the team I am a fan of' when they are talking to other fans. I never even thought about the ownership concept before, I don't think I've ever heard anybody look at it from that angle before. It's like a contraction, it's just a lot shorter and quicker to say 'we' than to keep saying 'the Bills' when you're having a football discussion; just like saying 'you' when referring to another fan's favorite team.

hardcore fans make the team apart of them, thats why I sometimes puke after a close game or a loss.
