    bad news on Youboty

    from bb.com:
    Youboty has plantar fasciitis

    Posted: November 6th, 2008 | Chris Brown
    Tags: Ashton Youboty
Bills head coach Dick Jauron in addressing Ashton Youboty’s lingering foot injury revealed that it is plantar fasciitis.
The condition affects the muscle that runs under the sole of the foot.
For a high impact position like cornerback where a player has to plant and drive off of their feet its no wonder Youboty has been unable to play.
In fact in light of the fact that it hasn’t improved at all the last five weeks, it’s hard to think he’ll be able to play again this season when you consider the physical demands of his position.

I've run marathons w/PF - it can be painful, but it's manageable. I think Youboty is being a Youbaby. Toughen up and do your job!

agreed, it hurts but he's getting paid to play.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
                It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Last year, over about a week period, I was getting up in the morning and couldn't walk for about 10-20 steps because the bottom of my foot hurt like ***** hell. It was soooo painful. I asked our trainer and he told me it was PF. I looked it up and it was described just like what I was experiencing.

Even though it hurt like hell when it was happening, it basically went away after about a week - came back again for a few days - then I never had it again.

I guess my point is....why is this such a "season" injury? The way I understood PF, and experienced it, it's mostly temporary.

WTF? Shoot some pain killers into it and send him back to work.

Does this guy still weigh 120 lbs? I saw him get on the bus after the game in Miami last year and he looked like he was 16. There's no possible way he could hold up in the NFL unless he was a punter or kicker.
