John Fox happy with strides made in camp

The Carolina Panthers ended their minicamp Sunday with above-average grades from their boss.

"Our goals coming into this camp were just to familiarize our new players with our system," coach John Fox said. "I felt like we had a great attitude and we've made some strides in this camp."

Fox felt the attitude was a continuation from last year, when the 7-9 Panthers finished with four wins in five games.

"Ending up on a positive note like we did, that just gives us great momentum for this coming season," he said. "I was pleased with everybody. I was impressed with all the draft picks and the free agents. I think we're a more talented team than last year; now we've just got to start where we left off."
