All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.

Ruff has coached poorly tonight. He needs to get Gaustad and McCarthur off the PP...and NOW! Also, why the hell is Teppo on the PP? Bad coaching all around.

Why is this team SO BAD at the dump and chase? Even at full strength they suck at it, and so many teams use a trap or some variation of it so it's almost a necessity to play the dump and chase to win these days.

It's simple...this team is VERY soft. They don't like the banging type of game...they're more into finesse. Hecht is plain awful and one of the softest players on the puck on the entire team. Why people love this guy is beyond me.

Don't know anyone that loves him. But I agree. Anyone that comes out hitting and putting pressure on the puck against us has the upper hand. We just aren't physical enough.

Hecht's a big guy so he should be throwing his weight around.

He is what he is - a solid, but not great, two way player. 15-20 goals a year. Very good penalty killer.

I'd move Pominville up and put a defenseman on the backend. Poms has been terrible on the point and I don't understand why they continue to put him back there...he just doesn't look comfortable back there.

No, not really. He isn't that good. People think he is a good two-way player because that's what they feed us. He was the reason that first goal was scored. HIS defensive play leaves a lot to be desired.

He is the top forward on the PK. It is top 3 in the NHL. Not sure how he can't get some credit for that .His defensive play is generally very good.
The reason the first goal was scored was Sekera giving up the puck and the team as a whole not clearing it, not just Hecht.

Rivet was out. You hate Paestch. Sekera and Spacek are already was back there. Lydman and Tallinder are not point guys.

I would also say that overall their PP has been more average than bad (18th in the NHL, right around the league average)
Hecht is very soft, plays the game soft he has size but is very inconsistent with his play and streaky, Miller is defintly shaky as well
We are sitting on so many dull and oftinjured players eating salary space
we should do what some other teams have done cut or trade player or IR a player (connoly) and get some fresh players up here mancari zagrapan butler weber funk kennedy all nhl ready
just sick of watching a dull soft team
