Rumour has it that Darcy & Shane want to buy an OHL team, either a new expansion club or move an existing club that sucks like Windsor.
Has anyone heard this?
Rumour around North Bay is that they want to put a team back here...avoid the Toronto-area "hockey dead zone" where Junior clubs fold more often than a cheap suit.
they'll have someplace to play after their careers in the NHL.that's if the rumors are true.

Windsor doesn't suck and they get pretty good crowds. Last year they were 33-24-6. What they do need is a new rink, badly.

Come on, Windsor has been shopped around more often in the last few years than a Sunset Strip crack ho. It's only a matter of time before they're gone, if anything so we don't have to put up with those godawful unis any more.
I heard that they are possibly looking at putting a team in/near Orillia, Ontario. The city is close to Barrie, Ontario were Corson's family lives and also has a new arena that was built there about 5 years ago close to the new Casino.
The OHL won't allow another team in the GTA, and believe it or not, Orillia is considered GTA because it's just a little over an hour's drive from Toronto. They would also siphon off a chunk of Barrie's market, so it'll never be allowed by the Colts.
