I agree. Its a good number for the Bills. We have McGee, Mckelvin, and Corner. While Corner isn't proven, Leodis did show promise at the end of the year. I dont want the Bills to be paying 6-7mil a year for a nickle cb in a year or two.

dont forget we have youboty too who was our best cb till he was hurt.

i dont think that greer will take that, but he has definately said that he wants to be in buffalo and there is a slim chance that he takes something in that ballpark..

but not much of a chance.

Compared with what he's going to commjand on the open market, that's definitely a lowball offer. Unless Greer is a lot more loyal to the team than I think he is, he'll consider that an insult and take his services elsewhere.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Greer isn't worth a boat load of money...IMO. That being said, did the Bills organization get their negotiating tactics from the Sabres?

Well there has to be a big bonus, claus, or we are trading mcgee and putting him at starter. No way thats all that they are hopping him to accept.

Way to go, Buffalo! What a horrible offer! He'll probably get double that in the FA market!

Re: Bills offer Greer a contract

Don't get me wrong, I don't think he is worth the money he's looking for, but why even offer such a lowball offer? If you were going to do that, why not just wait to see what he got in FA and if it was within your range, then offer up the deal. IMO, this was done just to say, "hey, we made an offer". That is the mentality with this team that frustrates so many fans.

Re: Bills offer Greer a contract

why is Jabari Greer suddenly worth 8 million dollars a year?? Hes not Asante Samuel people. Hes a good player, but I dont think this offer is that ridiculously low. That being said, if he rejects it bc its too low, ill be pissed. I just dont think he is a 6 million dollar a year player, let alone more.

That's in the right ballpark for Greer. No way he's worth $7-8 million he's seeking

    Goodbye Greer

I dont understand why we are even offering Greer a contract when we didnt even offer Crow one. Crow is our best defensive player when healthy.

Reggie Corner is going to be a beast. Greer is too short and IMO not as good as a lot of people think.

I'm taking this at good news. If we offered a market signing bonus and he took it, I would be estatic.
