    Lee & TO

I'm gonna be bold and say that TO will want the ball. LOL!

Lee isn't a selfish guy, and I think he could see things opening up for him, maybe less catches but more highlights.

    TO - 90 rec, 1100 yds, 10td's
    Lee - 72 rec, 1300 yds, 8 td's (18ypc)

    How's that sound

    Oh, btw

    Marshawn - 1400yds 12td's rushing, 300yds, 4 td's receiving.

    Trent - 3200yds, 26 td's 14 int's 90.0 qb rating

Would we be happy with that? Would TO get a new deal with us? Would Trent be "The Guy" if he did that right there??

Just looking for opinions, as I'm bored.

    T.O 2500 yds receiving, 35 TDs

Lee 2000 yds receiving 20 TDs

    Trent 4500 yds 55 TDs.. 158.3 rating

Trent never throws a single checkdown, chucks the ball downfield every down to either Lee or T.O.... Reed blocks all day after the big boys catch it.

    Re: Lee & TO

Those numbers are WAY too high. We still have no LG and Edwards is still completely unproven. Having TO is good but it doesn't change those things.

    Re: Lee & TO

Article in the Rochester D& C:

If Buffalo Bills wide receivers Lee Evans and Terrell Owens can top the 2002 production of Eric Moulds and Peerless Price, the Bills figure to put up plenty of points this NFL season.

If Evans and Owens don't both top 1,000 yards receiving, it would be a disappointment.
Only twice in Bills history have two players topped 1,000 yards receiving in the same season:
    1991 — Andre Reed (81 catches/1,113 yards/10 TD catches) and James Lofton (57 catches/1,072 yards/8 TD catches) ... Totals: 138 catches for 2,185 yards and 18 TDs.
2002 (Drew Bledsoe's first season as Buffalo's QB) — Moulds (100/1,292/10 TDs) and Price (94/1,252/9 TDs). ... Totals: 194 catches for 2,544 yards and 19 TDs.

I see TO with more like 70 for 1200 and around 10 TDs
    Lee - 60 catches for 1000 and 4 td's

    K Seriously,

    T.O. 1200 yds 11 TDs

    Lee 1100 yds 8 TDs

    Trent 4100 yds 29 TDs 12 INts.... 95.5 rating.

    Re: Lee & TO

I don't know about nos. but I doubt TO is gonna be giving tips to Lee. Looking at the guys he's supposedly taught, TO tends to mentor nobodies because they are no threat to him.

I'd be happy if he just mentors Hardy since HArdy is still a nobody.

Seriously, I love how people say "well, we don't have a LG now so..." Well gee, I guess they aren't planning on getting one then.

My thought is that first of all, Dockery was one of, if not THE, worst OG in the league in terms of sacks allowed and overall blunders. Despite what people think, even a rookie would be better. I'm going to assume we sign a mediocre starter. So that in itself is better than Dockery. Not to mention that I'm going to (maybe wrongfully) assume that Peters won't hold out this summer. Thus, his play should take a turn for the better, and we'll get better protection from his side.

We won't have an all-world line, but it should be better than last year.

    "Capt. Checkdown" is...

T-18th in passes over 20 yards.
    11th in yds/Att
18th in AY/Att (Air Yards, which is better than Farve, McNabb, Thigpen, Flacco, Campbell, and Cassell to name a few)

Last on that list for 2008? JP

Stats don't show the whole story. He's a checkdown guy.

Neither do fans. We had a bum line who could barely hold the pocket and our WR's couldn't get open. What is a QB supposed to do if he goes through his reads and nobody's open or when pressure breaks down the pocket?

Trent isn't blameless since he did miss a few reads here and there which is obviously expected of a first year starter but he still got through all his reads (which is important for a young QB). He still didn't check down as much as everybody says.

    I wasn't blaming anyone but
he wouldn't be called Capt Checkdown (I didn't call him that) if there wasn't some truth to it.

There were times when Lee was also open and he didn't find Lee opting to go with his checkdown Reed and Lynch. Why do you think he struggled when Reed was injured. His security blanket was checking down to Reed. I'm not saying it's all his fault but he checks down a lot.

Since you like stats, our rbs last year have caught more balls than any rb tandem in bills recent history.
