If Buffalo Bills wide receivers
Lee Evans and
Terrell Owens can top the 2002 production of
Eric Moulds and
Peerless Price, the Bills figure to put up plenty of points this NFL season.
If Evans and Owens don't both top 1,000 yards receiving, it would be a disappointment.
Only twice in Bills history have two players topped 1,000 yards receiving in the same season:
1991 —
Andre Reed (81 catches/1,113 yards/10 TD catches) and
James Lofton (57 catches/1,072 yards/8 TD catches) ... Totals: 138 catches for 2,185 yards and 18 TDs.
2002 (
Drew Bledsoe's first season as Buffalo's QB) — Moulds (100/1,292/10 TDs) and Price (94/1,252/9 TDs). ... Totals: 194 catches for 2,544 yards and 19 TDs.
