    Jarrett Brown, QB, West Virginia

    From WalterFootball.com:
    Jarrett Brown, West Virginia
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 219.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.57.
    Projected Round (2010): 4-5.

2/4/09: Will get the full-time job now that Pat White is gone. Jarrett Brown attempted just 30 passes in 2008, maintaining a laughable 3.8 YPA. In 2007, White had 48 attempts (31-of-48, 341 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs). Something Brown definitely has over White is size (White is 6-0, 190).

7/24/08: Jarrett Brown played well in limited action in 2007, but like Juice Williams and Matt Grothe, there's a chance he'll play another position at the next level.

    Comments:
9/5/09- vs. Liberty- Very nice throwing motion. Gets good zip on the ball. A bit indecisive. Good build, muscular. Nice run for a TD. Fast feet, can hurt you with his feet.

    Summary:
Jarrett Brown is similar to Daryll Clark in that he is a better athlete than quarterback. Brown has one of the prettiest throwing motions in the whole class. He can make all the NFL throws and shows adequate accuracy most of the time. He is a pocket passer by nature, but has enough athleticism to be a decent threat on the run. He does a nice job of showing poise when he drops back. The area that will bother scouts is his inability to consistently read defenses and go through progressions. Jarrett will lock on to receivers and telegraph his throws. He also will make poor decisions too often. Brown has has suffered from some nagging injuries throughout his career. NFL teams will have to do their homework and make sure he isn't injury prone. Brown may not be able to convince NFL teams that he can consistently command an offense and lead an NFL squad. It will be interesting to see where he gets drafted.
