Re: Sabres sign Paul Byron
are we ever going to get any players who are actually big enough to play hockey? I know these guys are young, but damn. 5'8" 135 is tiny. Even 5'9" 165 is insanely small.

Re: Sabres sign Paul Byron
I know someone's gonna come in here and say "he's still young, he'll fill out." The only problem with that is that the same thing applies to pretty much ALL our prospects. In 3-4 years we'll have a good sized team- what the hell are we supposed to do in the meantime? Continue to fight for the 8th seed and come up just short?

Originally posted by THATHURMANATORNo we never had a guy 6'7" under 200 pounds EVER.
For comparison, Tallinder is 6'3 214. Mair is 6'1, 208, Rivet is 6'2, 210, Goose is 6'5, 225. Chara is 6'9, 251.
So, he has a LONG way to go.

They also drafted Adam Dennis last year, who is not small.
They have been looking at size more recently. This guy was a late round pick, where you take flyers on guys. Most are never even signed.Originally posted by mysticsotoLecter is right in everything he said.
