    Mike Johnson, OG, Alabama

    From WalterFootball.com:
    Mike Johnson, Alabama
    Height: 6-5 3/8. Weight: 306.
    (Senior Bowl).
    Projected 40 Time: 5.20.
    Projected Round (2009): 2.

2/10/09: A major reason for Alabama's return to glory. Mike Johnson was voted to the All-SEC Second Team. He started every game, 12 at guard and one at left tackle.

7/28/08: The bookend tackle across from Andre Smith, Mike Johnson started every game as a sophomore. Johnson seems like he would be a better fit as a guard at the next level.

    Comments:
12/05- vs. Fla- Tall and wide frame. Decent build, but isn't that muscular. Is relatively thin. Has average quickness and athletic ability. Starts at LG. Sets a wide base, locks his arms, and uses good leverage. Locks on very well to his defender and maintains the block. Above average pass blocking. Aver to a bit below average at run blocking. He will get out there for his blocks, but his height and lack of weight will prevent him from blowing back the bigger DT's. He also can take mis-steps and be caught out of position at times and get flattened or beat. Looks more like a 3rd-5th rounder to me.
