Average fan's analysis:
Odrick is the foundation of the defensive line as the most experienced starter. His strength belies his weight at about 295 pounds. He uses good moves to his advantages. I've seen him use a swim move to get into the backfield easily, and on a pressure against Akron he simply grabbed the guard and threw him aside when he saw the QB drop back. The pressure led to a Kevion Latham sack.
Most people would probably be surprised to hear that PSU's starting DT's weigh 295 and 285 pounds, especially considering how hard it usually is to run against them. Not only are these two tackles (Odrick and Ogbu) able to control the line of scrimmage, they occupy blockers to let the famous LB's make plays.
Odrick is a very good penetrator, but holds up well at the point of attack. In my opinion, he would be an excellent fit as a three technique in the 4-3 defense, but could also be a 3-4 DE.
