8/1/08: Jay Ross started 12 of East Carolina's 13 games as a sophomore. He registered 38 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks, earning himself a spot on the All-Conference USA honorable mention list.

Comments:
2/14/2010- vs. Memphis (replay)- Wide, but stout build. Lines up over the C and RG in a 4 down lineman set. Not as dominant in getting a push as you would like. Seems to get stood up and held back (1st 8:15). Shows very good quickness to get through the line and into the QB's face (1st 7:01). Seems to lack a bit in strenght, but once he gets free can reak havoc in the backfield with his very good quickness. May need to be a rotational DT instead of a starter.
