8/3/08: Despite being a mere true freshman, Rolando McClain started eight games, and recorded 75 tackles (five for loss), four pass break-ups and two interceptions. GMs will love the 4.6 at 255 pounds.

10/03/09- vs. Kentucky- Big playmaker. Plays every down. Nice INT. Intelligent player who always stays in the game mentally. Very good in coverage. Nice forced fumble. Having a fantastic game. Plays both ILB and OLB for the tide. With his coverage skills he could be decent at OLB.

10/17/09- vs. So Car- Just a consistent high quality play maker. You can plug him into your defense day one and count on him to be a rock solid starter. Puts himself around the ball, makes great tackles, plays with very good intensity.

12/05- vs. Fla- Very good diagnosis of plays. Nice open field tackle on Tebow.
