    3/7/09: Though size is a bit of an issue with Syd'Quan Thompson, the All-Pac 10 first-teamer continued to prove doubters wrong on the field. Thompson had 70 tackles, 14 passes broken up, 7.5 TFL and four interceptions as a junior.

    8/5/08: As Cal's No. 1 corner, Syd'Quan Thompson recorded six tackles for loss and broke up 10 passes.
