Well the throw was far from perfect but Smith's size and ability to stay with the WR due to his excellent athleticism is what made the play really more than the throw.there's always one
It was a great pic, but still, it was a terrible pass.
Okay, based on the coverage, and the position Smith had on the reciever, how could the throw be better, if anything, if Sean was shorter, that could have been a nice backside catch by the reciever.. Sean had the guy blanketed..even if the pass was longer, he still had a shot at int'ing it.

That was a great pick...
Pass should of been to the back left shoulder, not short sided to his right shoulder. The defender had the inside position from the line up the field, so as a QB you know you throw to the outside shoulder. Keep in mind Smith catches the pass with his right hand, not his left hand because the throw was short, the WR had to jump to try and come back to the throw.
either way not a "terrible" pass. Just not a "perfect" pass which he needed
