wow, is that the ballsiest thing you've ever seen? and it also was pretty awesome that it blew up in the pats face.

I would LOVE to have a coach with balls that big.

"Eh, Phil. That's one I happen to agree with."
That was the dumbest thing everrrrrrrrrr. I'm so happy bellicheat and his arrogant, ****y ass got owned. Why risk it from that side of field up 6
That wasn't ballsy, that was just too stupid and risky
I think Manning would have drove it in for the win if they punted anyway. Also, Brady probably converts that 4th-and-2 about 90% of the time. If I'm the Pats, I'd rather put the game in Brady's hands than Manning's.
It didn't work out, but I actually think Bellichek made the right decision. Amazing game, and I'm happy Manning and the Colts won.

I don't necessarily agree, but I can see why they did it. If you have a chance to not give Manning the ball back, it's understandable to take it.

You can't risk that from the 30 yard line! From 50 okay
What percentage of the time do you think the Patriots make 2 yards when they HAVE to. A really, really high percentage. I love the call.
Not from the 30!
Brady, Moss, Welker, Watson, Edelman, Faulk .... they have the weapons to risk it.Originally Posted by BuffaloBlitz83
Gotta get out of the Bills mentality here.
Listen to Dungy. YOU HAVE TO PUNT BALL IN THAT SPOT
Belicheat has more rings than Dungy
Another thing that costed the Pats the game was the Patriot defenders tackling Addai at the one (on the first rush from about the 15). Had he got into the endzone, Brady gets over a minute of time and probably gets the Pats field goal range.
Rodney Harrison just said bill makes somes of the greatest calls but this was the worst decision and call he ever made in his career!
i hope this does not overshadown the stupidity that is dick jauron.
I think you punt there. missing was too much of a death sentence. punt it. and make them use the TO and then use the sidelines.
Peyton wasn't automatic and threw a couple INTs. i think he struggles more if they were forced to go 60+ yards.
Was it dumb? Probably. However, that only overshadows what really matters: at the end of the game the Colts made the plays to win and the Pats didn't.
The decision to go for the win right there overshadows what really decided the game. At the critical moments the Colts made the plays they had to and the Pats didn't. They were the better team, and given the run they have had head-to-head are clearly the better team the Pats have to get over if they wish to reach the Super Bowl.
Great game, though. Obviously, if those two teams play again it will be in Indy and the Pats will be the underdog.
In a weird way, I'm encouraged. The Pats choked, but they played great overall. They aren't as good a team as Indy right now, but hopefully they can continue to improve and get another shot at them in the playoffs.
As much as that loss was disappointing, the Pats did a lot of good things in that game. It reminds me a little of the loss against the Rams in 2001, where they lost the game but you could see how they weren't that far off from winning it. There is still a lot of football left to play, and it will be interesting to see how the Pats play next week against the Jets.
I hope they keep going for it, and it keeps biting them in the ass.

That does not mean every decision he makes is right.Originally Posted by Philagape

This may be a Colts/Minnesota SB. Or NO/Colts.
