Brohm signing signals the end of Edwards

Fewell’s decision to sit Edwards has just moved the process forward of making a permanent change at the QB position in the future. As our own Mike Lombardi wrote the day that Jauron was let go, the Bills need a size/speed team to compete in the elements, and Edwards doesn’t provide that. He doesn’t have the arm to throw the ball down the field in the weather, and he doesn’t have the ability to make plays for the offense that the Bills want to be.

Could Brohm do that? We don’t know, and anything we do say is speculation until he is given a chance with his new team. Yes, it is obvious that he wasn’t a fit in Green Bay, as he struggled when given opportunities in the preseason to win not only the backup job but a roster spot. However, the Bills and their scouts obviously have something in mind for the former Louisville star

Good stuff. If Trent is done, then Perry should let Fitzpatrick start until Brohm learns the playbook, and then let him have 3-5 games to see what he's made of. That'll give the next coach a good idea of what all 3 QBs on this roster have to offer (if anything), and we'll get to see what Brohm can do in the elements. I would love to hear what Wood thinks about Brohm since they played together for a couple years.

Side note - BillsWin, you have been doing a great job around here the last few days. Keep up the good work!

I'm interested to see what a guy that was plucked off of a practice squad can do for the Bills. He should feel right at home considering half of our roster should be on a practice squad.

And he should feel comfortable behind Meredith...

What? Edwards arm isn't strong enough? He's not good in less than perfect weather? But I thought many wise posters on this site said proclaimed that wasn't so!!!

At least Losman finished his 5 yaer rookie contract here... Edwards may be done after just 4 season.

              TOSS HIM ON THE HEAP!
