ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson has been fined $5,000 for throwing a ball into the stands. He does not plan on appealing.

Jackson said Thursday he knew the fine was coming after he scored in the final minute of Sunday's loss to the Seahawks. He said he just wanted to toss a present to the handful of fans who were still around at the end of the game.

Can't the league just cut the guys a slack for once?, more of an action of appreciation than taunting or whatever it would've been called.

The NFL loves fining people. It was during thanksgiving week too. Cool that Jackson didnt care about the fine and rather make someones day.

Yea I liked that part of it. Good guy.

But do they really think that fining these guys will stop any of these actions? 5K is NOTHING to them. If I could afford to get away with **** just by paying a small fee, why not keep doing it?
