I guess I know he was a runner up for the Heisman. He vs Ingram.

Most people assumed he would, he was already a senior.

From the ESPN article:

He could have stayed for a fifth season because he played just one game in 2007 because of injuries but opted for the NFL instead.

Just saw this today. Where do you think he compares to the other RB's?

I'm no judge of talent, but he's probably not as good of a prospect as some guys, like Spiller. Speed and versatility (namely being a good receiver out of the backfield) seems to be what separate the 1st-round RB's from other "meh" running backs. Gerhart is a power guy, which doesn't seem to mean a whole lot in the NFL. Getting someone who can just plain run away from pro defenders is much more worthwhile.

My guess is he's a 3rd or 4th rounder, but DB will be more accurate.
