meet our number 1 pick for 2010

brandon graham, has a mix of dwight freeney and lamar woodley. a player who we can build our defense around

    6-2 275lbs 4.6 speed!!!!

im convinced since de is the most important spot on a defense and we also need help there. he is the type of player u can start a franchise with!

    here are his highlights

he is also very good against the run and since he can play de in a 43 o 34 and also olb in a 34 we can move him around. having maybin and graham as our des will give us a very solid future!!!

DRAFTBOY whats your take on Gramham?

We need to go QB, WR, True DT.. not in that order.

the problem is qb is a bigger need, but clausen and bradford will be gone probably. i think we address ot in fa and i think dt will be addressed later in the draft. pass rushing is what makes a great defense. we currently have no pass rushers if schobel retires... brandon graham is a top 10 player!

And a new owner, too bad we can't draft those though.

How do you know what we need on defense if you don't even know if we're running a 43 or 34? Child please.

I dont know about him being our pick, but he did punk the left tackle from IOWA pretty good. He did have some nice film against good competition.

Graham was one of Michigan's only bright spots this year, and last year. He's a effing MONSTER. At least if we pick him, you know he's more than likely going to turn out -- unlike picking someone like GAYbin. And he'd probably be able to contribute as a rookie, unlike GAYbin. Don't worry Maybin, keep twittering about how awesome you are and how cool your haircut is.

First off he's not 6'2, he's close to 6'0, maybe 6'1...not a huge deal. Also I dont think he is 275 either, Id be a little surprised if he weighs in over 265. Remember that media guides exagerate heights and weights to make their players look better.

As for his skills, he is a relentless pass rusher. You don't get 29.5 career sacks if you're not. He has the ability to go inside and outside (unlike Maybin) and he has made a career out of effort. He never gives up on a play and he is always working towards the ball even from behind. He's got a good first step but its not elite at all, and this is where his height becomes an issue. He can be engulfed at times by big OT's (think 6'4-6'5, 305+), especially if they get their hands into him. His arms are shorter so he has a harder time if they can engage him. Graham is also versatile enough to play either 4-3 DE, or 3-4 OLB and with his he's not a Maybin clone. I like Graham as a potential pick but not at 9, not with Dunlap and Morgan rated above him. I have him right now as my #3 DE in my latest rankings.
