I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I had to vote Thurm.
Coach Sal might be the most knowledgeable poster, but he isn't the MVP.
He isn't even here half the time. If Thurm showed up to post twice a week, people would notice.Comment

In all honestly, I can't vote for Thurm because the guy NEVER thanks anyone and rarely reps anyone for anything. It's like he think's he is above me... (no friggin way!)

I really think for the most part, this list sucks ass. Some are really good posters, but not worthy of a fake MVP award. Coach Sal and Pat Moran post on the main forum and barely anywhere else. I also like Thurm but his posts lack substance. Billswin and Tlong are two more good posters that don't venture out of the main forum too, as as much as this is a Bill's message board, it has a TON more to offer. The top two on that list should be Dr.Lecter and Opiv, at least they add something to a conversation.
I think the awards maybe should be like the olympics, only given out every 4 years or so.Comment

pat moran, dr lecther, coach sal and draftboy are in different leagues than the resest. They are in different leagues than each other too but each one is good to go in this competition.Comment
