Mayock High on many 3-4 DTs in Draft

    Sounds encouraging for our changeover...
Still searching for that offensive rhythm.

Ya, it sounds real good. A ton of 3-4 d ends that can be had in the 3rd and 4th. I love the NT's Williams, Cody and Thomas (Thomas my favorite) but I actually think this will be priority number 1 in free agency. Casey Hampton or Jimmy Kennedy will be are only big get in free agency.

Jimmy Kennedy is not a NT in a 3-4. Wrong body type.

He thought 5 could go in the first round but the drop off after Suh and McCoy is huge he stated.

I heard that... he mentioned Houston, Thomas (he liked Thomas a lot) and Cody and said there would be value left in the 2nd round. Very engouraging.

He mentioned Houston??? He's barely 300lbs, and he played under than at Texas. Maybe he's beefed up, I have Houston though going in Round 3, not even close to Round 1.

He's not ideal seeing he's 6 4 but at 320 certainly seems big enough.

His size is, but his style of play is not, there is a reason he plays in 4-3 systems. He's similar to Pat Williams, who is a big 4-3 Space Eater.

That sounds exactly like how we always draft. Get the 3rd best guy with our 1st rounder.

That's why you don't do that.

Wasn't Pat with the Bills when they were still running the 3-4, playing NT?

He did... but I think it may have just been in a general discussion on DTs and not necessarily the NTs.

I believe so at the end, but it was only so Big Ted could catch his breath. He was not the usual NT on 1st or 2nd Down.

He is a much better 4-3 DT, than he ever was 3-4 NT.

                            Makes much more sense now.
